Welcome to Project RV: Living Lost
We are Thomas, Victoria, Barley, and Oreo—an adventurous family living life one mile at a time in our trusty RV. If you’re here, you’ve probably stumbled across one of our YouTube videos or social media posts, or maybe you’re just wondering what it means to “live lost.” Either way, welcome!
Consider this our official (re)introduction: Who we are, what we do, and why we decided to trade stability for a life of freedom, adventure, and the occasional (ok... more than occasional) RV repair disaster.
Why “Living Lost”?

When we first set out on this journey, we didn’t have it all figured out. We just knew we wanted something different—something that made us feel alive, even if it meant losing the comforts of “normal” life. For us, “living lost” isn’t about being directionless; it’s about letting go of rigid plans and embracing the unknown.
It’s about parking our RV in the middle of nowhere and somehow feeling more connected. It’s about hiking miles into the wilderness and realizing we’re stronger than we thought. It’s about detours that turn into unexpected adventures and moments that remind us why we chose this life in the first place.
And yes, it’s also definitely about constantly misplacing our keys, making wrong turns on the trail, Googling how to repair the RV on the side of the highway, and surviving all the other chaotic moments that come with RV life.
Who We Are
We are Thomas and Victoria, and we live full-time in our RV with our 2 dogs, Oreo and Barley. Victoria is a Travel Nurse, and her job allows us to travel to different parts of the country to work and explore. Thomas works remotely as a podcast editor, as well as the editor of all our YouTube videos. While we are stationed in a location, we venture out into the surrounding areas to find hidden gems, quirky towns, stunning sunsets, breathtaking views, and whatever else brings a smile to our faces. We sprinkle in some RV and roadtrip advice to help you as we learn on the go.
We started our YouTube channel, Project RV: Living Lost, as a tool to remember our adventures, and to share them with our families. We now have a presence on most major social media platforms, and aim to share what we have learned with those who may be considering a RV lifestyle, or are looking for inspiration for their next roadtrip.
We just want to inspire you to get out there and live your best life!
Why start a blog?
We have been working hard to create valuable content for you in both video and and photo format since 2020. But we have things that we want to share with you that are not as conducive to these formats. We have always found very helpful content in other people's blogs when planning our own trips. "2-Day Itinerary for _____", and "Secret Dry-Camping Location Directions" blog posts have lead us to some pretty incredible locations. We would like to provide the same helpful content to all of you!
Over time, we will we be going back into our archives and creating posts about some of our favorite locations and adventures. We will also be adding posts to supplement our current videos.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Destinations & RV Guides: Destinations & RV Guides: Tips on where to camp, must-see spots, hidden gems, photo ops, and outdoor activities - inspired by our YouTube videos!
Hiking & Outdoor Adventures: Tips and tricks for our favorite trails and paddle boarding locations, and stories from our most epic (and maybe even disastrous) hikes.
DIY & RV Repair: Let's face it, something is always broken on an RV, especially if you live in it full-time and travel as much as we do. We try to fix as much as we can ourselves, and we will share tips, resources, supply lists, etc to help you do the same.
National Parks: We have visited 16 national parks in our 4 years on the road, so it's safe to say we're hooked! Planning a trip can be overwhelming, so we want to share our favorite hikes, views, and activities in the parks we have visited.
Travel Tips & Resources: Everything from boondocking basics to RV safe route recommendations, plus advice for fellow nomads and weekend adventurers.
